Bicentennial Barn in Edinburgh

As part of the Ohio bicentennial barn project, the Portage County barn chosen was in Edinburgh Township. Visit our Bicentennial Barn site to see photos of the barn.

The Ohio State Bicentennial Bell for Portage County was cast at the Randolph Fair on August 22 & 23, 2003. The Portage County Commissioners have allowed the bell to be on permanent display at the Portage County Historical Society Memorial-Bicentennial Garden. The bell was put in place on May 29, 2007 with the help of Dave Roberts, Donald Roberts and John Barber. The stand that the bell is hanging from was designed and fabricated by the students at Maplewood Career Center in 2004.
